I would like to say I am very impressed with the Genesis products. I want to tell you about myself. I am in a retirement village  and have limited mobility, so my art is very special to me. I am self taught and still have much to learn. I have been working with watercolours. I find it so much easier to work with your product.

Dear All of you over there,

Totally amazed by Genesis. Can't wait to receive more colours!

Michelle R., SA

I was recently lucky enough to receive the Genesis Gift/Starter Pack for my birthday from my husband.  A lover of conventional oils I was both excited and cautious about my first painting with them.  Robyn Coopers DVD Kimberley Sunset came with the paints and after watching a few times I decided to give all of her techniques a go from start to finish.  I absolutely love the texture and characteristics of these paints, and even though I bravely chose a picture other than the scene in her demonstration, I found Robyn’s DVD to be an extremely enjoyable project.   It’s so  nice to be able to get up in the wee hours of the morning, paint for a bit, go to work, come home and paint for a bit, pick someone up from soccer training, cook the dinner, paint for a bit……….and just shut the lid on the pallet and leave the brushes in the stand full of paint.  Thank you from a convert!

I don't want to wear you down with info that's irrelevant in a sales call, but my biggest problem's a vestibular problem causing a visual defecit that no one can help me with yet - so even though I was your typical kid who loved school, grades ok, etc, love to read and learn, it has seriously impaired my abilities to read, write, walk, and drive too...so I'm more dependant than I ever wanted to be at this age, on others for help.

It also makes it awfully hard to multi-task and do the most mundane things, because, the more I use my eyes in these tasks, the dizzier and drowsier I get...as I said, I realise it's a bit wierd me telling you this, but, well, just thought I'd try anyway, given Gensis' record of being so helpful to others with real health problems!

So, I have to try and take and time when I'm going to expend all my energy on one task per day, or some semi-system like that.
After that, I'm so drowsy, I can't function, so I lay down every couple hours per day, and this has been my life since age 13 - 15 years.
On top of that, I was diagnosed with an incurable genetic disease at 18, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, causing severe exhausting pain.
So, I'm lucky to paint every once in awhile, and maybe you can guess, it has to be totally unplanned, spontaneous.

Your company's product will be my first hope in years, despite a lifelong passion and hope for a life of art, to actually pursue it seriously again.

So, you may not have known until now, but your tireless desire to help all your customers - of which I've seen MUCH on the Testimonials page! ;-) - is really a bright light of hope for me, that I really appreciate.

So, as soon as I get some health over here, I or my mother will be searching for the heat gun, and...I am chomping at the bit! :)

(And being a new fan of the obviously Kahlo-inspired-but-original Nichola Robinson, I'd love to try and follow in her footsteps in my own way.

I even discovered an errily similar artist to my style and aspirations, named Leslie also, in Kauia, - so similar even in her signature and where she signs her paintings, I'm eager to get painting and start making some original work before I'm made obsolete! *LOL* (just kidding ;-)

Ever since my father bought me "Artist's Palette" one freak time it was at the store, I've seen more artists like me in Australia than anywhere else, after years of reading magazines from everywhere else, and I really admire the scene down there, form the bits I'm learning about from that issue of the mag, including a lively mouth-and-foot painter's association...love it!
So, because I've found you all so inspiring, I had to share this "testimonial"as to the inspirational and sheer power of hope that's been renewed in me by your Aussie art community, even though I haven't yet tried Genesis...

Leslie (Canada)

Leslie is now using Genesis.  Thank you, Leslie, for your inspiration , enthusiasm and positive  outlook despite all you have to contend with.

Peter

Thank you so much for your kind assistance and very timely delivery of the goods.

The Derrick Allen DVD is excellent - on a par with that other superb DVD by Pickering.

Incidentily were you the producer and director? - congratulations on a job well done - a most professional video.

I am thoroughly enjoying my Genesis paints.

My dog Bundy who is a Jack Russell also enjoyed them although by the time we caught up with him he wasn’t quite so happy.

I received a second palette from you two days after Bundy had painted himself and half our house and I wasn’t surprised to find a note in the case telling people to shut their palette when not in use.

Doesn’t he look the soul of guilt?

PS  Sugar soap works a treat on carpets and lounge suites.

Bundy shows us that we shouldn't limit our creativity to brushes and canvas. He also shows a great understanding of complimentary colours - the blue against the orange/brown of his markings makes a striking statement. We see a great future in art for Bundy and understand several galleries are interested in his work. But perhaps you should have asked first, Bundy, before using Lorraines paint!

I am enjoying painting with the Genesis paints. Being able to dry as you go gives me a freedom I have not had before. The colours are so vibrant it is exciting and I am chomping at the bit to try other subjects I like to paint.

Hi folks! Thought I'd let you know that I was cheeky enough to enter my first Genesis Heat set Oil painting in a nearby country Show.... and took off first prize. Never done an oil of any sort before, and this was very simple, an early morning sunrise over the sea. I'm thrilled, and of course telling everyone about Genesis...

Hi there, Just a quick note to let you know that my package arrived today and I'm delighted with the product, the service and the communication. All fantastic!
Thanks so much

Tully P (Melbourne)

I wish to convey to you how excited I am with my first Genesis oil painting.  My medium of choice has always been pastel so this is a big change for me though I have used both acrylics and oils in the past.  The ability to chose when and where I wished to dry the paint was the key factor in making them work for me.

Dear Peter,

Just thought I would send you a photo of my 'Wild Sea' painting that I recently completed following the Byron Pickering DVD lesson that I purchased from you.  It was a great way to learn how to use Genesis paints and a most enjoyable experience.  Of course one is never completely satisfied but I'm pleased with the result and will be ordering 'The Breaking Wave' CD together with some more paint.

Hi Peter,

Some time ago I said that I was looking forward to trying the Genesis Paints on a portrait.

At long last I have had the opportunity to use them, and as I guessed, it adds a whole new dimension to portraiture!!

Being able to dry the painting between each stage without having to wait weeks is a tremendous help.

Now I can dry the painting and be able to rest my hand on it to paint details.

This painting was completed on Christmas Eve and I was able to give it to my daughter-in-law for Christmas!

Best regards,  FM

Wow - another great portrait - the talent out there never ceases to amaze and delight us!

Just wanted to congratulate you on your prompt despatch of my order!!!  As we are in a small country town in Queensland- I could not believe it when my order arrived 2 days after ordering by email.  As this was a Christmas present to me from my husband(!) and was ordered at the very last minute - I was so surprised and thrilled when it actually arrived before Christmas.  Thank you so much.
regards
LW

I would mention the speed in which I recieve my orders(on second day after ordering). You probably dont know this but the Weipa postal service is really slow. We have waited two and a half weeks for an Express Post parcel from Cairns before, and it is not unusual for normal mail to take three weeks. We cant believe how fast I get my Genesis every time! Its like a miracle! Somehow you must be circumventing the time delays eveyone else has lol.

As promised here are just some paintings I’ve done using your oils.

Hope you like them.

Most of them have already been sold!

I use to work in Acrylics, (little boys makes this task almost impossible!) but since discovering genesis oils I haven’t looked back!

Thanks very much

Regards,

AF

Pleased to inform you my paints arrived today -    I was desperate to have

My name is PB - you would have seen I have made several purchases from you since my wife first got me the starter pack in February - I am very busy with my own business and young family and never really had the time to get into oil painting - Genesis oils has given me the flexibility to pick up and put down the paints to suit my busy schedule.

Hi there, just wanted to thank Robyn for all her help with placing my first order... I had a portrait to do as a birthday gift for my brother in law and my paints arrived on wednesday (so quick) so i thought i'd dive in and have a go straight away! Ive never used oils before and found them so easy to work with, the colours are magnificent and once i got the hang of it getting a lovely consistency became so easy...

So thank you to Robyn and everyone at Genesis for opening my eyes to such a wonderful and exciting product.... Heres a picture of the portrait ive completed over the last two days (ignore the shadow of the tree on the right corner) [See Gallery] and will be ordering more off you very shortly

Kindest regards,

I feel compelled to publish my opinion of GENESIS paints in the interest of fellow artists who may have been experiencing that terrible feeling of poor health associated with symptoms of incredible tiredness and lethargy. I had retired from business and like most people in this situation I needed some pursuit to fill my days. I discovered the joy of oil painting about two years ago. As my paintings improved I found myself spending more and more hours in my studio which I had built because the smell of paint in the house was a problem. About 6 months ago I started feeling seriously lethargic and dizzy and the doctor suggested all manner of remedies which had no effect.

A friend suggested that my painting studio reeked of turpentine and recommended GENESIS PAINTS which she said were non toxic so I purchased the primary colors and created the illustrated painting which is by far the best of all my previous works. I am absolutely positive that the absence of fumes is the reason why I have now returned to really good health.

Putting health reasons aside I have to say that Genesis paint's allows incredible flexibility due to the following facts:
* The Pallet remains reusable forever as it will never hardens. No more worrying about the composition of my pallet, it's there and ready when next I choose to carry on and I keep it in a handy closable case.
* As the painting develops it can be dried with the recommended heat gun at any time that I choose. Muddy colors are eliminated and highlights and shadows added after drying become so wonderfully meaningful. I have no financial reason for recommending this exciting product and I do so in case others have been feeling the symptoms mentioned herein.

Hi Robyn, Great to see the new setup in Genesis paints and ease of ordering  and I hope to add to my paints in due time. Thought you may like to see my own design (You may have viewed it on Aussie tolers). This was a deliberate effort in correctness of "Hot Shot" Calla Lillies growing in my garden. I have tried hard to work in the folds and richness of colour. Thoroughly enjoyed the work and the paints blending ability.
My interest in Art began at Primary school, when I won a Gould of Bird Lovers’ competition. It continued through High school days and Tertiary levels.
When caring for my elderly mother and mother-in-law, I took up Folk Art & Decorative Painting to have time-out for myself.
And for the last four years, I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching Folk Art & Decorative Painting classes at “Gumdale Cottage” on our farm.
Now I find, my fine art training can be applied to Decorative Painting and also find, to Genesis.
After attending a workshop of Sue Schirmer’s, I was inspired with the painting of the Poppies. When entering it in a local show and winning the best over all painting, I bought a number of Genesis paints with the winnings. The ability to blend is wonderful and the quick drying when required is fantastic. Genesis adds another dimension to the art world, which I hope to explore further.

Hi Robyn,

Just a quick line to say thanks for your help. I noted your call today but unfortunately did not get to the phone in time to answer due to preoccupation.

Have started my first piece a landscape, and am enjoying the experience in particular the drying control which is great.

My one complaint if any is in the blending process without the use of a thinning medium which of course will take a little time to familiarize with and remaster as I become used to the paints properties – Other than that Genesis Oils are in a word “brilliant”

Apart from the occasional smell of the low odour turps it is refreshing to work in a non toxic environment.

So much so that I would have no hesitation in recommending your product to anyone.

A breath of fresh air .

Warmest Regards
John.

PS. Wish the pots were bigger.

REPLY:

It is fantastic that you are enjoying painting with this new medium Genesis Heat-Set Oils John. Now I will Reply to some of your questions.

When placing the paint out onto the palette you must not forget to work the paint down to its creamy consistency, once this procedure is completed you are then ready to begin your painting, this will allow you to start blending easier if not using the Thinning medium.

Low Odourless Turps is compatable with Genesis Heat-Set Oils. When using Turps I use Odourless Turps as the smell is not offensive in a class room situation.

Regarding the Pot size it is noted and we will endeavour to let the Company know.

Testimonial from Toni McDonald
This was after her second painting with Genesis Oil Paints.
She is a student of Robyn's and has only completed one Term of Lessons.

"I am loving the Genesis paints.
Over the years, I've used water colours, oils and acrylics.
All are fine but have their technical limitations.
With Genesis paints those limitations are lifted.
You are free to leave or complete a section of your work at a time
and with the busy lifestyles we lead these days,
this makes a huge difference to how I approach a painting.
The colours blend beautfully and the the pallette is huge, if you need an obscure shade.
However, I completed all the subtle shades in this seascape using the basic primary colours
!"
